I am a Seattle native and a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  I have been practicing veterinary medicine in the Seattle area since 1985 and have lived in this area my whole life, except when attending college.  My interest in Chinese medicine and acupuncture blossomed after I attended a lecture about this treatment modality.  At the lecture, Dr. Allen Schoen presented several cases that clearly benefited from acupuncture.   I then realized I needed to educate myself in a new field of study to which I had had no prior exposure: complementary medicine.    So, I enrolled in a year-long Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine course through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and I have been learning ever since!  I have enjoyed studying this vast field of treatment and healing and helping my patients with a compl ementary therapeutic modality.
